About ExplorerX: An Overview

ExplorerX is a community founded and based on the passion for Ford Explorers specializing in featured content and an interactive community. The goal of ExplorerX is to keep a family atmosphere where users of all levels can share information regarding maintenance, modifications and performance. Over time, ExplorerX has expanded to cover vehicles based on the Ford Explorer platform, such as the Saleen XP8, Mercury Mountaineer, Explorer Sport Trac, and Lincoln Aviator. Today, ExplorerX is the home of the only Saleen Explorer Owners Registry.

 

The History of ExplorerX

ExplorerX was created back in the spring of 2003, where initial brainstorming and planning took place by Rob Waters. He then took the ideas and put it to life on September 5th, 2003 while he first entered college and ExplorerX went public.

The goal of ExplorerX ever since the beginning was to create a family oriented website where Explorer owners from around the world could come to learn more about their Explorer and interact with other owners. Tired of just regular forum sites, Rob wanted to create a site that would be more useful - a website that would contain guides, content, articles, and much more. He was not satisfied with what existed at the time, and being an entrepreneur in spirit, he decided it was time to build a new, exciting website. That website would become ExplorerX.

As a result of his efforts, ExplorerX has been graced with millions of page views since its opening to the present. ExplorerX averages over 600,000 page views a month (as of April, 2007) and has members from all across the world: United States, Mexico, Canada, Puerto Rico, England, France, Belgium, Germany, Australia, Japan, and The Netherlands just to name a few.

ExplorerX is proud to have the most useful, helpful, and courteous member base there is. With over 3000 members on this site, we take pride in what we have become in such a short time. We also have the largest authentic Saleen Explorer XP6/XP8 owner member base on this website, as well as our own Saleen Explorer Owners Registry Database.

This website would not have been possible without the superior community support and awesome loyalty that our members have for this site. And for that, we sincerely thank you all and we are eternally grateful. Here's hoping that ExplorerX will continue to grow and make its mark as the number one Ford Explorer Enthusiast Website!
