2011 Ford Explorer test mule spied!

What happens when you put a Ford Freestyle and a Flex front clip on the same chassis? You get a 2011 Ford Explorer test mule. Some very spotful Jalopnik staff members happened to be "motorcycling around Detroit with no particular purpose" and stumbled across the rare gem out in the wild. While this is not - I repeat NOT - the way the 2011 Ford Explorer will look, it is a clear indication that the Ford Taurus X platform will definitely be utilized. Jalopnik has a plethora of images from all over the vehicle and for anyone anxious to see some (possible?) indication of the future Ford Explorer, take a look.
