The Saleen XP8, the "big brother" to the Saleen XP6 - is for obvious reasons the most common Saleen Explorer in existence. But again, in total there are only an estimated 125 Saleen Explorers in existence. Saleen for obvious reasons (and like all their specialized vehicles) kept the XP8's to a low number. The XP8 has substantial performance upgrades to set it apart from a standard Explorer, assuming you include the supercharger option. Regardless, even despite all that is invested into the XP8, there is still countless performance upgrades that can be done. The XP8 is an excellent platform but by all means is not the best. Take a look at these performance results, they're sure to spark some interest:

Compression Ratio: 8.5:1
Horsepower: 222hp / 4,200 RPM
Torque: 298lb/ft / 3,000 RPM

Drive Train
Transmission: 4 Speed automatic

Brakes
ABS: Three channel, four sensor system
Disc Brakes: Front & Rear
Front: 13in vented disc four piston caliper (optional)
These front disc brakes were eventually recalled and replaced with stock Explorer calipers, again due to lack of structural integrity.
